I am a Research Professional and Faculty member with more than Fourteen years of teaching & research experience. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Information Technology Department, College of Applied Sciences, University of Technology & Applied Sciences, Oman.

I obtained my M. Tech. in Information Technology (spl: Intelligent System) from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (www.iiita.ac.in), India, which is one of the premier research institutes in India. I received my Ph.D. from Integral University, Lucknow (www.iul.ac.in), India. My Ph.D. is related to WSD, which is one of the hottest topics in research related to natural language processing. My M.Tech. Thesis work is titled 'Development of tools and techniques for Urdu Language Information Retrieval'. I am propulsive in the realm of Artificial Intelligence, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Sentiment Analysis, and Computer Networks & Security, but I always hold an interest in expanding my horizons to other fields, that I will surely have after having this valuable opportunity. also have hands on experience of working on the research in Data analysis using various Python libraries like Scikit- learn, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, urllib, Scipy and NLTK.

I have published 6 books, 15 book chapters & more than 30 research papers in Journals/conferences of international repute. I was involved with many sponsored projects as PI/Co-PI. Currently I am working on 2 ongoing projects sponsored by TRC, Oman. I am also also contributing my knowledge and experience as an invited speaker, doctorial committee member, session chair, member of the editorial board/advisory committee, and TPC in various international journals/conferences of repute. I am an active member of different professional bodies including ACM, IEEE young professionals, IEEE-TCII, ISTE, CSTA, and IACSIT.

In 2020, I have accomplished 2 specialization courses on Python and Data Analysis from University of Michigan. I have also qualified national level competitive exams like UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) in June 2014 and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) in 2008.

I am actively involved in all the departmental and organizational activities such as Research and development, Curriculum designing, sports, technical events, Training and placement cell, workshops and seminars, University evaluation process (NBA & NAAC) and other administrative works like Convener student welfare committee, anti-ragging squad member, disciplinary committee member, departmental placement committee member, member of departmental board of studies. In addition to teaching responsibilities, I actively counsel students on skill development and gaining hands on experience on various tools.
